Château du Taillan is a family-owned Estate since 1896, but today, above all, it is a modern history related by women. Nowadays, five sisters run the Château, located at Bordeaux and Médoc’s doorstep. Each with their personality(character?), they write the property’s history(story of their chateau) and perpetuate this viticulture’s passion and historic patrimony. It’s with this feminine aura, that Château du Taillan managed to renew itself over time. The wine, charming, strong and full of its owners’ history, evoluated through sustainable agriculture and an important wine & tourism activity arise, as well as many other surprises you must discover!
Each vintage is a new adventure, each year a new challenge, but this constancy in the research of quality always remains. The owners like to produce a charming, strong and well-balanced wine, which suits to the style of their terroir. In addition to their Médoc Cru bourgeois, they produce a rosé wine to accompany your summer dishes, and a white wine, their dear “Dame Blanche”. Indeed, the Château is also known as Dame Blanche, as it is associated with the Princess Bianca’s legend. Nowadays, on mornings, you can sometimes perceive a white fog above the vineyard; it’s the Princess coming back to wish prosperity to the Winery. Therefore, this property might have always been conjugated in the feminine…
A pretty candy pink color and a quality coming from its fruitiness, this wine is very aromatic wiwith English candy notes.
The advice of the owner sisters: Taillan rosé is very pleasant as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to a salad and other summer dishes.
This white wine has a fine, subtly fruity nose, a fresh and tasty well-balanced palate, with citrus and pineapple notes. Its finish is delicately lemony. Produced in small quantities, between 6,000 and 18,000 bottles, this wine is exclusively available at the property, in the United States and at some wine merchants and restaurateurs.
The « advice » of the five owner sisters: La Dame Blanche goes well with grilled fishes and sailfishes or is very pleasant, very fresh, for the aperitif!

This wine presents a dense red cherry color, the nose is open with red fruits aromas and slight menthol notes. On the palate, the attack is round with a certain freshness and well-integrated tannnins. It’s a pretty and charming vintage, with a long length for the finish.
The « advice » of the five owner sisters: this wine can be tasted now, with a beautiful red meat and a cheese not too strong!
Les notes de la presse :
Bronze medal at the 2015 Macon contest.
Selected by numerous work councils.
A bright cherry red color and a fresh, almost crispy with redcurrants notes. A lively and fruity frame, well-balanced and an almost saline finish.
The « advice » of the five owner sisters: the most pleasant wine to taste today, restaurants love it!
Les notes de la presse :
Gold medal at the Brussels 2016 competition.
Silver medal at the 2017 « Concours des Vignerons Indépendants ».
A grenat color with brilliant reflections and a nose of black and ripe fruit, as well as a touch of liquorice and a harmoniously woody finish. A beautiful structure conferring power and fruit as well as very present tannins which gradually melt. A well-balanced wine, which has to flourish, with good aging potential.
The “advice” of the five owner sisters: a complex wine, rich in flavors, that you can taste with meat in sauce or game.
