For several months now, Tatiana, representing the 5th generation at Château du Taillan, has been sharing her favorite food and wine pairings with you.

This April, as Easter approaches, we are bringing you a delicious and original recipe: personalized chocolate bars, perfect as a gift or to share with family, paired with our Château du Taillan 2017, a smooth and indulgent wine.

Why this food and wine pairing?

Château du Taillan 2017 reveals a beautiful roundness and softness that pair perfectly with the tannins of the chocolate. The toasted praline notes from the dried fruits enhance the exceptional smoothness of the vintage, creating a delicious pairing perfect for sharing at Easter.

Preparation :

We start by placing the different chocolate bars next to each other on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. We then place them in the oven for about 10 minutes, just long enough for the chocolate to begin melting.

Using a knife, we gently swirl the chocolate to slightly blend the different colors. We then add the toppings of our choice: pralines, mini marshmallows, hazelnuts, or dried fruits.

Next, we place the tray in the freezer for about 2 hours, or in the refrigerator overnight, so the chocolate can harden again.

Once fully cooled, we break the slabs into individual chocolate pieces.

      Ingredients :

  • 6 chocolate bars (ideally different varieties)
  • 2 dark chocolate bars
  • 2 milk chocolate bars
  • 2 white chocolate bars
  • Toppings of your choice: pralines, mini marshmallows, hazelnuts, seed mix, and dried red berries
